Dalengi

Built by Alumarine and designed by naval architect Damien Smith specifically for Whitsunday conditions, the Dalengi uses an asymmetrical, wave piercing bow to cut through swell in the passage rather than pound into it, and lands nose first onto the beach at Palm Bay so nobody steps off into the water.

Why the design matters

Built for this passage, not adapted to it

Wave piercing bow

Cuts through the swell that builds up in the passage rather than slamming into it, which is most of what guests notice about the ride.

Twin hull stability

Two hulls hold a steadier line than a single hull boat of the same size, in the same conditions.

Beach ramp landing

The bow ramp puts you straight onto the sand at Palm Bay, no ladder, no wading.
